With their clean, architecturally inspired contours, the watches in the TimeWalker Collection are a compelling combination of traditional values with 21st-century aesthetics. Adeptly fusing form and function, they appear remarkably lightweight: an effect underlined by the dynamic silhouette and the curved lines of the skeletonised horns.
The TimeWalker TwinFly Chronograph underscores the status of Montblanc Manufacture in Le Locle as a genuine Manufacture with a complete spectrum of capacities, beginning with the initial development of its own watch movements, continuing through their design and engineering, and culminating in their final assembly. The manufacture Calibre developed for the TimeWalker Twinfly Chronograph is a self-winding movement endowed with all the typical attributes of highly evolved horological artistry. These include control for the chronograph mechanism via a traditional column wheel and a vertical disc coupling, which generates very little friction. Another special feature of the new chronograph calibre is its double barrel, which accumulates sufficient power to keep the watch running for approximately 72 hours. Calibre MBLL100 supports a large chronograph hand and a minute hand from the centre, a flyback function and a 24-hour subdial that shows the time in a second zone with a day/night indication. The new TimeWalker Chronograph “TwinFly” owes its name to a spectacular twin-hand flyback function, which activates the return to zero position of both the central chronograph hand and the minute hand.
The evolution of the flyback function
Independence is the characteristic feature of the TimeWalker TwinFly Chronograph Greytech, limited to 888 pieces. With its perfect synthesis of innovative materials, advanced technology and functional design, the chronograph speaks its own language that is expressed in just one second: “Welcome to the 21st century.” The key to understanding this language is the Montblanc manufacture calibre MBLL100 and the all grey watch concept.
Satinized and pearl-blasted finishing gives the solid titanium case a monochrome and simultaneously contrast-rich aspect. Various shades of grey distin-guish its large dial, where connoisseurs will find seven time indicators, generously proportioned apertures for the grey date disc, a pierced and anthracite grey hour-hand and minute-hand. Grey elegance continues on the back, where a pane of sapphire crystal invites aficionados to admire the movement with its rhodium-plated dark grey chassis parts. The dark grey shot-blasted buttons, bezel, crown and the finish on the case back feel velvety soft.
A perfect synthesis of technically oriented design, highly robust and extra-light case material, and elaborate micromechanics. At 12 o’clock, the second time zone prominently displays just who the Time- Walker TwinFly Chronograph Greytech is made for: People who move with the times.
