Montblanc is honored to share in one of the most romantic moments of Monégasque history with a stunning Création Privée. With all its splendour the Montblanc Wedding Pen is an homage to H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco as a romantic memento of their unique royal wedding ceremony.
For the fairytale wedding of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his beautiful fiancée Charlene Wittstock Montblanc has created a one-of-a-kind writing instrument which both unites outstanding craftsmanship with exclusive and stunning design, reflecting Montblanc’s rich heritage and commitment to the life of remarkable personalities around the world.
The Montblanc Artisan Atelier Hamburg aimed to capture in this unique pen what could be the most extraordinary in life – love, treasure and romance. “There is a very, very short moment, when you have the idea for the design”, states Carlo Giordanetti, Montblanc Creative Director, “it is like falling in love – you cannot plan or measure it, but you have to make it happen”. And the craftsmanship and design process while creating this unique wedding pen has been truly as exciting as a love story.
The Montblanc Wedding Pen
The unique Montblanc Wedding Pen is inspired by the architectural elements of the Palais Princier and the Principality Flag, embellished with the monogram of the Princely Couple and precious stones: 128 diamonds and 161 rubies that refer to the colours of the Monégasque State have been artistically rendered into the skeleton of the solid white gold fountain pen. The hand-crafted gold nib is finely engraved with a dove, rings and a crown and thus unites the unique symbols of love and this state union.
