Lang Lang, Chairman of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation, and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus

What happens when a world famous pianist and an incredibly talented group of six students meet on board the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus? It’s sure to be a music session John Lennon would have loved to join.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus -  Costa Mesa, California

Just as another year for the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus has begun, Lang Lang, world renowned pianist and Chairman of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation, dropped by the bus to spend some time with a group of kids from Orange County High school of the Arts (OCHSA) in Costa Mesa, California.

On this sunny day in California at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Jeremy Van Patten, Skyler Garn, Michael Fleming, Colin Vendudf, Sara Sithi-Amnuai and Hank Woods had the one and only chance to experience a really unsual musical get-together: Making music with the piano genious Lang Lang on board of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.

When the bus was parked outside the Concert Hall, Lang Lang even gave them a performance on the OC Can You Play? piano! – a one of a kind rainbow-coloured piano which was played not only by Lang Lang, but also by the students. It perfectly captured the creative spirit of that day in Costa Mesa.
