The Montblanc Cultural Foundation awarded Giulio Mogol, one of the most important Italian lyricists, with the Italian Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award 2010. Mogol has been honoured for his passion and dedication spent on supporting the art of music and all professions linked to it.
On September 7th, 2010, at the beautiful location of casa degli Atellani, Montblanc welcomed 30 selected guests, among them VIPs, ex Montblanc de la Culture winners and top Editors. At the end of the event, Montblanc ambassador and world-renowed pianist Lang Lang performed a private concert in honour of the winner.
About the winner and the CET Music School
In 1992, Giulio Mogul founded the CET Music School, a non-profit association, aimed at creating and improving new music seasoned professionals. Since its foundation, Mogul as president of the CET, has spent time, money and energy to support the institution. Courses at the CET School cover all aspects of a musical career and are open to lyricists, composers, instrumentalists, technicians, producers, in short anyone who wishes to acquire a skill relevant to the contemporary musical scene. Young artists are invited to discover and improve their talent, thanks to a professional more than a didactic journey into music. The school is unique in that its courses are entirely practically based.
About the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award
In 1992, Montblanc established the Foundation d’Enterprise Montblanc de la Culture to support and honour modern-day patrons of the arts who devoted their time, energy and money in order to encourage cultural life to flourish.
Each year the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award recognises and celebrates the work of outstanding private patrons of the arts in 10 countries around the world. To be chosen, a patron has to demonstrate both, commitment to the arts but also the aim that the wider public should benefit as a result of that support. Previous Italian Award winners included Mr. Bob Krieger (2009), Alessandro Baricco (2008) and Franca Sozzani (2007).
